It was a busy week last week celebrating everything that is boarding at SMC.
Monday started with a boarding favourite, Fat Man Splat, followed by the annual Great Big Dinner Swap with boarders from St Andrew's College, Rangi Ruru, Christ's College and St Bede's College.
Tuesday was Movie Night, with a nostalgic favourite and plenty of snacks, and Wednesday brought Hug a Boarder Day along with a whole-house game organised by the Boarders' Council.
On Thursday, our Year 9 boarders hosted Year 3 students for morning tea and a tour of Julius House, and boarders led a whole school assembly to share what boarding life is like. Special guest Henrietta Lourie, class of 2008, joined them to talk about her own boarding years at SMC, including the earthquake years, the friendships she formed, and the memories she and her fellow boarders still talk about today.
The week rounded off with Boarders' Chapel at St Andrew's College on Sunday.
Thanks to our boarders and the Boarders' Council for a great week.
