St Margaret's College Old Girls' Association (SMCOGA) hosts or takes part in around 30 events every year, everything from alumnae speaker sessions in the classroom to golf days, regional lunches and international networking events.
The focus for SMCOGA is simple: keep those connections alive, and give Old Girls real chances to connect with each other, including on a career level.
We are really proud to note that this year has seen a genuine lift in attendance. Alumnae are turning up to catch up, to network, or just to be in a room with others who share the same background. We have been reading the current climate and have a strong focus on building genuine, value first relationships with our alumnae. They can use these events for what they are needing in the moment - to connect with friends, to network, or to find a way to give back.
Higher attendence means stronger network and school community.
A few more regional events are still to come before the end of the year, Nelson, Blenheim and Wanaka, along with Reunion Weekend from 30 October to 1 November. We also look forward to the Christchurch Margarita's and the Christchurch based Time Capsule Opening.
