| Melbourne Alumnae |
Offering opportunities, such as this Melbourne event, where all ages can get together and share contacts in different industries, offer tips and advice to girls just starting out on their careers, re-establish friendships or share a laugh about what school was like, we see as invaluable and is what drives the St Margaret's College Old Girls' strategy.
25 old girls spanning the years from the Class of 1955 to the Class of 2021 caught up last week in Melbourne at a central city venue, for an event hosted by Head of the Senior School Sian Evans and Alumnae Manager Amanda Marchant.
Being part of a community like this should not be underestimated. The never-fading support and willingness to help others achieve their goals is wonderful to see in our old girls at every event we host.
Conversations on the night ranged from career advice and industry connections to fond memories of school life, with alumnae from different eras finding plenty of common ground. It was a great opportunity for younger graduates to tap into the experience of those further along in their careers, while longtime old girls enjoyed reconnecting with the wider network.
We look forward to hosting further alumnae gatherings around the country and encourage old girls to keep an eye out for an event coming up in a city near you.
