And recently, that special connection was celebrated at the inaugural Descendants’ Breakfast, hosted by the St Margaret’s College Old Girls’ Association.
Current students who are descendants of St Margaret’s alumnae gathered with the women who came before them to celebrate the unique family ties that span generations of our community. The event was a chance to recognise the shared history, stories and traditions that continue to shape life at St Margaret’s today.
A very special conclusion to the breakfast was the presentation of Descendants’ Pins. Custom designed, these pins, which the girls can wear on their school blazers, are a meaningful symbol of the intergenerational connections within the St Margaret’s community.
The Descendants’ Breakfast was a happy and memorable occasion, bringing together past and present students while honouring the women whose journeys have helped shape the College over more than 115 years.
