At three-quarter time the score was locked at 1–1, but the Old Girls struck early in the final quarter with a quick goal to take the lead and hold it through to the whistle. The Old Girls' Association President, Sophie Fitzsimons represented superbly as goalie for the full 60 minutes, holding strong against some impressive shots from the current team.
There was great support on the sidelines and, with the pace and skill on display, this was a fantastic exhibition match for our commuity. Our thanks to everyone who came along to cheer, play, and celebrate an enduring love of sport and our ties to St Margaret's.
