St Margaret’s College Rowing has welcomed two new boats—a pair and a four—into its fleet. These additions mark another step forward for our rowing programme, reinforcing our commitment to excellence.
The boats have been named in honour of alumnae Sophie Aubrey (Class of 2004) and Milly Farrell (Class of 2023). Both Sophie and Milly, along with their families, joined us for a special boat naming ceremony, celebrating their contributions to rowing and the legacy they leave behind.
Speaking at the ceremony, Executive Principal Diana Patchett said:
"These boats are more than just vessels on the water—they are symbols of dedication, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence. They carry with them the history of all those who have rowed before us, their perseverance, their triumphs, and their spirit."
The rowing season is already off to a strong start, with our athletes securing an impressive two gold, four silver, and eight bronze medals at the recent South Island Club Rowing Championships.
We are grateful to our sponsors for their generous and ongoing support of St Margaret’s College Rowing.
