Congratulations to Arabella Logan (Year 13 2024) on starting her exciting university journey! Arabella’s proud family expressed a heartfelt thank you to all the incredible educators who have prepared her for the International Baccalaureate (IB) at St Margaret’s College, especially music teacher Dr Sarah Hickford and Head of IB Valerie Eves, for their unwavering commitment to her success.
Arabella has received an Early Young Achievers Offer to study for a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Notre Dame University in Sydney. Notre Dame’s focus on pastoral care, small class sizes, and renowned partnerships in health and medicine make it an exceptional environment for aspiring medical professionals. With her sights set on the Priority Pathway, Arabella aims to pursue a Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Notre Dame, with invaluable placements at St. Vincent’s Hospital and potential study abroad opportunities in North America and Europe.
Adding to the excitement, Arabella has been invited to join the New South Wales Doctor’s Orchestra in 2025. This is a dream come true, as Arabella expressed her aspiration to combine her love of music and medicine during an interview with Limelight Magazine in Year 8. Arabella spoke candidly about her dreams for the future: “As for my future direction, it’s early days. I love classical music and performing. However, I also love the science of medicine, so I would perhaps join the Doctors’ Orchestra. Whatever my future, music will always be part of my life!
Her talent as a violinist shines as she steps closer to this fulfilling goal.
