SMC Old Girl Charlotte Bellis will be speaking at this year's Empathy Week.
Empathy Week is a festival of films, resources and events designed to develop the skill of empathy in students aged 5-18. To date, the festival has reached 175,000 students in more than 40 countries.
Charlotte's career as a journalist has taken her to Afghanistan, the Middle East and Europe. Her reporting is currently focused on Afghanistan and she believes that as a journalist, empathy has an outsized impact, as a catalyst for positive change, fostering inclusivity, breaking down barriers and nurturing understanding.
