The ocean has always been Sophie's happy place, so building a life around it feels natural. And while the long-term plan is still forming, Sophia hopes to spend a few years scuba diving and exploring the world, teaching others to love the sea as much as she does.
For Sophia, finishing school brings excitement, but she will miss boarding life. Starting St Margaret’s in Year 11 turned out to be one of the biggest confidence boosters of her life. Stepping into something new taught her that change can be empowering, and that lesson is coming with her to Otago. Her approach to life is simple: “Go with the flow. Maintain a positive mindset and remain open to change.”
