Class of 2005 |
2005 feels like yesterday—and yet here we are, twenty years on. It was the year YouTube launched, MSN Messenger kept us up late at night, and the All Blacks took home the Tri-Nations. For you, it was the first step into middle school life as Year 9 students at St Margaret's.
Two decades later, it's time to gather again. To reconnect with the faces that filled those classrooms, the voices that echoed through the Chapel, and the friendships that carried you through teenage years. This milestone is about more than looking back—it's about celebrating how far you've come since those early days.
Friday 7 November – 6.00pm
Sip and Reminisce Cocktail Party
We'll open the weekend with cocktails and canapés in the Old Girls' Atrium. A photographer will be there to capture the joy (and maybe some recreated old photos).
Cost: $60 per person
Saturday 8 November – 9.30am
Chapel Service, Morning Tea, School Tour & Photos
Begin the day with a Chapel service in the Charles Luney Auditorium, followed by morning tea in the Old Girls' Atrium. Students will guide you through the school and archives—perfect for a walk down memory lane.
Saturday 8 November – 12.00pm
Lunch in Kilburn
Join alumnae from across the decades as we celebrate 115 years of St Margaret's with a two-course lunch and wine in Kilburn Boarding House.
Cost: $50 per person (includes morning tea)
Every photo from the weekend will be available to download on SMC Connect. Be sure to update your profile so classmates can find you, and so you don't miss future alumnae events. You can also browse your 2005 Yearbook online before you arrive—nostalgia guaranteed.
And for those who love a keepsake, the Old Girls' Shop has mementos to take home, each carrying a little piece of St Margaret's spirit.
Twenty years on, the laughter, the friendships, and the spirit of your time at St Margaret's still matter. This reunion is your chance to come back, share stories, and celebrate what binds you together as the Class of 2005.
I can't wait to welcome you home.
