Girls in Year 10&11 are invited to bring a special person in their life to enjoy breakfast and to hear from a guest speaker, Kendall Flutey.
Kendall (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Kahungunu, Rangitāne) is the co-Founder of Banqer, the financial literacy platform named 2018 NZ Hi-Tech Start-up Company of the Year, and a recipient of a Global Inclusion Award at the G20 Summit in Berlin.
Kendall has been recognised for her efforts in raising the financial capability of over 700,000 students, being named the 2018 Young Māori Business Leader and 2019 the Young New Zealander of the Year. While Kendall has a background in both accounting (BCom, MEntr, Dip Grad) and software development, Kendall’s passion has always lain in social wellbeing, addressing inequities, particularly educating youth to enable better outcomes for not only them, but their wider communities.
Kendall now holds the COO position at Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, and also holds a number of governance roles, including as a board member of the Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme, and previously the New Zealand Financial Markets Authority.
Organised by the Parents and Friends Association, tickets are $33 per person. One ticket per person is required as this is a PFA event and separate from the boarder's breakfast; please follow the link to book tickets.
Please be advised that photographs may be taken at this event for publication on St Margaret's College communication channels. By attending this event, you consent to the College photographing and using your image and likeness.
