For Christchurch real estate agent and St Margaret’s College Old Girl (1984-1990) Pip Sutton, real estate runs deep in her family, a legacy spanning four generations and reaching the remarkable milestone of 100 years in 2024.
From an early age, Pip was immersed in the family business, creating fond memories of attending property auctions, visiting construction sites, and spending time in the office, where the auction gavel and lectern often doubled as childhood playthings. “I grew up in real estate,” she reflects. “During school holidays, I’d help at Dad’s office, and many Sundays were spent driving around the city and Lyttelton Harbour, exploring new developments with the family.”
In 2014, Pip joined Ray White Real Estate, drawn to the company’s family-oriented culture and its century-long history of passing down knowledge across generations.
“In real estate, you often work with people during significant, and sometimes stressful, moments in their lives. A real estate agent’s role is to alleviate that stress, not add to it,” she explains.
Today, Pip is a highly respected real estate professional in Christchurch. Her approach is grounded in building relationships with buyers and sellers. She uses her comprehensive knowledge of the Canterbury property market to achieve the best results for her clients.
